This is something I hope to work on every Tuesday, or at least whichever days my inlaws take the kids. It involves some pretty intense work, and I know I’ll need the peace and quiet to pull it off to maximum effect.

I’ll be experimenting to figure out exactly how much work to do on this. It’s a marketing challenge for me.

Every Tuesday, I want to find at least 10 blogs to make comments on relative to sites of mine. I’m challenging myself on a per site basis; that is, 10 relevant comments per blog I’m working on each week. I think I’ll start it out as targeting 2 blogs, so 20 comment goal this week.

No junk comments. I need to have something to say.

How will I do this? There are a variety of sources out there. Technorati can be good. I also use the Comment Hut software in the free version, which finds Wordpress blogs.

One trick I use with Technorati is to find a blog in the category I want that has a lot of links to it. Take a look at who’s linking to them. Many of these will be relevant. You then have commented on a blog of a person who links to other blogs, may be an active commenter themselves, and is listed on Technorati.

Over time I would like to be able to do at least 4 sites/40 comments per week. If things go really well I may increase that goal. And consider that this is combined with my usual posting on things I’ve found interesting, paid posting and any other work I need to get done. Should be interesting to see if I can do it.

Thanks, eMoms, for getting me motivated! Yes I am challenging myself pretty tough. I always do. But I adjust when I catch myself being unrealistic.
