I wrote last week about challenging myself to comment on blogs every Tuesday. Last week I did 24 comments total. Did better this week. I set a goal of a minimum of 10 comments each relevant to 3 of my blogs, plus at least 10 more relevant to other blogs.
The random factor allowed me to cope with the fact that when you go through blogs on a given topic, sometimes you will find something that better matches a blog other than the one you are thinking about.
I think I’ll stick with this formula. I managed 40 comments, a very nice mixture, but some good emphasis on the blogs I wanted to emphasize this week. I think it went well overall. Took hours, but hopefully quite worthwhile.

Stephanie, commenting on blogs is great activity for so many reasons. It’s like salt on the meat and potatoes of your blogging routine. You ought to check out www.cocomment.com and co.mments.com. I’d love to chat with you sometime on how to do comments as quickly and effectively as possible. Obviously the personal touch - what some might call the “relationship blogging” aspect of it - is the most valuable.
I’ll definitely have to check those out.
