IMHO you bring your concerns to the support channel, if no resolution you go higher if you can. Sometimes these hosting companies are very small so you usually get the owner right away.

I would say they probably should have just moved you to another server if they had one. That would have taken the hardware issue right out. Although you would have had to do DNS updates and such.

Hosting companies are a dime a dozen, but good hosting companies are very hard to find glad you found resolution.

Thanks,
J

Yowtch. I took a traffic hit too. Nothing like major downtime to discourage website traffic. I've pretty much recovered, though.

I had one of my most popular sites down for 4 days because my hosting company moved it from a shared server to dedicated.

I had to contact the BBB just to get them moving after day 2.

My business has yet to recover from it (lost an avg of 200 people/daily) since it happened last month.

Needless to say I've been looking elsewhere for providers. It is sad though b/c I never had any "real" problems with them in the past.
