They’ve been up to a lot. There’s Google Base, which allows you to post all kinds of ads. They only stay up for a month, it would appear, but some are trying it out to see if it works well for traffic. AdWords advertisers can now separate their content network bid from their search bids. They now have an affiliate program open to all AdSense publishers to bring more into the network.

Then there’s Google Analytics. This is a beauty that has those in the SEO industry debating whether it’s a good idea to use or not… something about not wanting Google to get their stats. I can see a bit of that concern, but then again, if you’re running AdSense they have an awful lot of your information anyhow. That one’s so popular, even so, that they’ve had to close to new signups until further notice. Knowing Google, that won’t be long. They had to do much the same with Google Earth.

I know I’m forgetting a few items, but those are some of the interesting things they’ve been up to. They’re up to so much it’s hard to keep track and decide which tools to use and which to skip.
