If you read much at all about internet marketing you’ve probably seen the new report on the death of AdSense. I’ve been watching people argue about it and finally decided to go ahead and download it just so I could put my two cents in.

I was reluctant to do this because I really don’t enjoy hype, and there’s plenty of it in how people have promoted this report. But sometimes I can be lured into discussing these things anyhow.

Honestly, it’s not a bad report. I certainly agree that junk AdSense sites are dead, but I’m still earning quite well per click on my sites. I still think there are niches where AdSense is worth it.

The second report, called Life After AdSense, you may find interesting, especially if you’ve been focusing purely on AdSense sites. It should get you thinking about if you are monetizing your content as effectively as you could be.

I’ve known for a long time that AdSense is not the only way to earn money online. It’s the one that requires the least amount of research, which is no doubt why it’s so popular. Once you know the basics of how best to position and test your AdSense placements, you can earn without having to find offers to put up. It’s relatively quick and easy.

What you may be forgetting is that those people who are putting ads into AdSense do so because they’re profiting from it. No one will continue pay per click advertising for very long at a loss.

If your site is earning from AdSense, decide if you want to take the time to find offers to promote directly. That’s a part of this report. There’s more to it, and some tactics are discussed, but that’s the basic idea.
